Welfare Programs and Taxes

Taxes are difficult to understand. There are people who understand each tax and the programs that taxes support. These people usually work in the state or county offices. They only know because people ask.

The information act allows people to find out about government operations online. The state or county building has information about taxes, fines and community programs. These are usually attached to property, income and sale taxes.

The government does not accept donations. Instead, there are links on state, county and city websites that link to charities the government subsidizes; however, it is possible to make donations to school districts or community charities that offer similar assistance.

There is a problem in the United States. Frequently, large cities like Los Angeles and New York City are seen as having greater opportunities. Unfortunately, many people flock to large cities. There are not enough resources to support the population. California does not have enough water to support the population. Thousands of people move to California every year and then move home.

This is a problem because not every program is federal. An average person pays sales tax. Sales tax is divided as a federal, state, county and city tax. Sales tax covers funding the military, repairing highways, operational costs of utilities and more. Whether living in an apartment or a house, everyone needs utilities. Rent is how landlords pay property tax.

Property tax is collected to pay for public schools and additional costs. States such as Texas do not have state income tax. They have property tax. In Utah, gas tax pays for highways, repairing roads and environmental consequences of owning and car. Cigarette tax pays for public schools.

State Healthcare does not collect donation, yet there are several charities to assist doctors, research or child care. There is less need for government money when there are donations.

Why is this important? Overpopulated cities, such as: Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Indianapolis and Atlanta experience a high volume of people who need welfare to survive. Supposedly, government programs strengthen the economy because everyone taking assistance gets a job and stops needing welfare. Most people go back to their hometown and finally find work.

There is also a need supplemental health care and public schooling for children. Several people succeed in finding work. They begin taking the normal path of paying taxes and providing for the community. However, they no longer live in their former district. Their home no longer pays for the public schools they went to as a youth.

The idea of moving to various states was how the economy would find balance. "Take a penny. Leave a penny." This idea of government giving money to who needs is not realistic. Citizens need to be aware of living in various states. If it was realistic, hospitals in large cities would still be in business.

It is not a lack of attempting to let individuals handle business affairs through the free-market. There are several sites, if using the correct search terms, that ask for donations. Donations send money to a specific economy. The original grant to support welfare programs was intended to improve the economy in that state.

The social issue affecting free-market responsibility is a belief these matters are the responsibility of the wealthy. Wealthy donate money to schools and government. There are a few methods to reduce overspending while trying to be the best, most competent US Citizens.

Large cities within a state skim money off of smaller cities. A person attempts to support a school in one of the smaller cities. That money indicates they no longer need as much tax support. However, everyone living in a small town should donate money to their district.

People in the largest city in that state should also donate to their school district. They do not need as much money. This reduces skimming money off of smaller cities. Unfortunately, the government usually finds another method for spending more money.

If a person was living out-of-state, they should donate directly to their former state. The state retains most of the donation. The social obligations from an individual is done. The helpfulness of the contribution was is no longer their guilt or burden.

All federal loans are held by separate companies. Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac own most payable housing leans. Paying off anything to do housing, schooling and so-on are directly paid with interest to that fund. Any tax is a tax that legislators and government officials determine decide how to invest.

Both funds require a letter stating the government may spend the money anyway they want and it is a charitable gift. The social security fund requires a person to identify whether it is intended for Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund or Disability Insurance Trust Fund.
