Obama National Health Program

Recently the media released information related to Obama's National Health Reform Plan. People were immediately outraged and remembered why everyone voted against Democrats in previous elections. However, the new proposal estimates $2,250 per person. This is significantly less expensive than the past estimate for national health care:

The United States spent approximately $2.2 trillion on health care in 2007, or $7,421 per person.

On February 24, 2009 the White House released a statement related to the health care issue. Under Obama's new plan related to existing state health care providers taxpayers will be paying $5,171 less per person. If a conflict exists in this new measure it revolves around having fewer health options for the poor or under employed:

President Obama is committed to working with Congress to pass comprehensive health reform in his first year in order to control rising health care costs, guarantee choice of doctor, and assure high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans.

Currently the government funds several State Health Department programs. These are described on my website.

Always in favor of cutting government spending several companies already offer health insurance. This cutback could send business to the private sector. The recent smear campaign stinks of McCarthyism. Democrats often come across as communists; however, the red scare is over and groundless acquisitions were completely unfounded, today.
